Celebrate International Womens Day by linking to (more) women!
I will do this post in English – since this is an international affair 🙂
Today is the International Womens Day – and in my opinioin we still need more women in politics, in business, in tech – and we need women who are willing to make room for even more women. We also need more men in the kitchen, more men who works in childcare – and an overall approach to life that will give us less stereotypes and more freedom.
On Gias blog I found the idea, that today we should all link to women (and come on – it shouldn’t be that difficult to find a couple of cool women – if you cant do it you probably have a limited perspective).
Gia writes:
The women you link to don’t have to be doing a big popular blog. Their blog doesn’t have to be about politics or technology or digital rights. Maybe she writes a “Mommy Blog”. Maybe she writes about her work and life in an entertaining way. Maybe she’s someone you’ve only just discovered. Maybe she’s a secret blog crush. Maybe she makes you laugh. Maybe she makes you think. Maybe you love her fightin’ spirit. Maybe she always knows what’s going on. Maybe you admire her focus. Maybe she pisses you off and you argue with her. Maybe you wish you could write like her. Maybe you wish you could think like her. Maybe she’s a friend. Maybe she’s a relative. Maybe she’s even you…
Whoever she is, link to her.
And here is a list of 10 good female links to start with (english AND danish):
Ulla Maria – Hobbyprincess
Bl. Ochmanns – What’s next blog
Elmine Wijnia – Communigations
Dina Mehta – Conversations with Dina
Chip Chick – Gadgets from a girl’s perspective
RĂ©gine Debatty – We make money – not art
Henriette Weber – Only the real is unreal
Line Pedersen – BLOGBOGSTAVER

And if that is not enough for you this site:women@tech from the university of Umeå in Sweden will be liveblogging on being a women later today 🙂
